The ongoing saga continues and this time there is good news for fantasy owners and Dallas Cowboys fans. Ezekiel Elliott will be allowed to play in Week 7. A New York judge ruled in favor of the NFL Players Association to temporarily block the NFL's six-game suspension of Elliott pending a further ruling.
As a result, fantasy owners can slide Elliott back into their lineups for this week. He'll face a San Francisco 49ers defense that enters this week 15th against the running game with 112.8 rushing yards allowed per game. But they will be without Arik Armstead, one of their best defensive linemen and a key part of their run-stuffing efforts this season. So the matchup is made easier for Elliott.
When this case is resolved remains unknown and this is just one step in a drawn out process that seems to never end. If Elliott's suspension is upheld next week, he would miss Week 8 through Week 13, cutting dangerously close to the fantasy playoffs. For now, fantasy owners can just be happy they'll have a top-five running back in their lineup for another week.
