Denver Broncos Put Pressure on Brady, Head to Super Bowl 50

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady knew he was going to be up for a difficult task against a Denver Broncos team that boasted the top-ranked defense in the NFL during the regular season.

Little did Brady know that he would be hit a whopping 20 times in what ended up being a 20-18 Broncos win in the AFC Championship game on Sunday.

Under pressure throughout the game, Brady threw two first half interceptions while leading the Patriots to only two drives of over 50 yards.

While Brady was sacked just four times, all this pressure had a major impact on the timing of New England's passing game. He completed 27-of-56 passes for 310 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions.

Meanwhile, Pats running backs combined to tally 14 yards for 31 yards on the day.

In reality, it was just a matter of time before New England's lack of balance came back to haunt the team. That happened against the top-ranked Broncos defense in the AFC Championship game on Sunday.

For the Broncos, their offense wasn't necessarily a dominating unit on Sunday. Peyton Manning completed 17-of-32 passes for just 176 yards with two touchdowns and zero interceptions, both touchdown passes going to Owen Daniels. Meanwhile, Emmanuel Sanders caught five passes for 62 yards in the win.

Denver and its top-ranked defense will now take on the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl 50 two weeks from this past Sunday.
