Detroit Lions LB DeAndre Levy Unlikely to Play Week 1

As one of the top run-stuffing 4-3 outside linebackers in the NFL, Detroit Lions star DeAndre Levy played an important role in the team's success on defense last season.

Unfortunately for the Lions, it appears that Levy will not be available to play when they take on the San Diego Chargers Sunday afternoon.

With Levy out, the Lions will reportedly rely on Josh Bynes to stop a two-headed running back monster that includes rookie Melvin Gordon and short-yardage back Danny Woodhead

Levy, 28, recorded 155 tackles, including a ridiculous 80 stops last season. His presence in the front seven was just as important to the Lions' success as was Ndamukong Suh

When setting your lineup or looking who to add a running back in DFS, Gordon becomes a tad more valuable with Levy out of action.
