It might be too late for Miami Dolphins receiver DeVante Parker to make much of an impact, if any, early in the season. However, the team got some good news regarding its rookie pass catcher:
Parker has yet to practice after undergoing off-season foot surgery. And while the Dolphins expect him to be ready to make a contribution when Week 1 comes calling, returning to practice after the team's proverbial rehearsal for the regular season doesn't bode well for Parker's ability to make an early-season impact.
It is, however, a good initial step for the first-round pick. Barring any setbacks, there's a good chance he will at least be on the field in some form early next month. The issue here is whether he can overtake Jarvis Landry, Greg Jennings or Kenny Stills on the depth chart. That's a mighty high mountain to climb.
