2016 Review

Stills' 2016 performance is interesting in that he rebounded from a miserable first season with the Dolphins and somehow found a way to produce like we saw in New Orleans. It's still potentially an outlier, especially with Stills likely moving on in free agency.

First off, Stills had a robust 21.4 percent touchdown rate. That's the highest number for any receiver that finished within the top 40 at his position in fantasy points. He also caught a quarter of the Dolphins' touchdown passes while accounting for just 13.3 percent of their receptions. Is this sustainable?

As it is, Stills was a fantasy-relevant performer in 2016. He finished as a decent FLEX guy in 12-team leagues. He also put up 10-plus fantasy points in nearly half his outings. That's a solid level of consistency for someone ranked 40th in fantasy points.

Dynasty Outlook

It's really going to be about fit here. Stills is still just 24 years old and has proven himself capable of being a top-three receiver on a good team. Should he go to a situation here he's relied on as a top-two option, it will surely help Stills' fantasy production. The issue here is that most teams likely won't view him as a starter moving forward.

Dynasty drafts themselves usually don't take place until the draft has been conducted. This means we won't have to really look at Stills until we know where he lands. Based on what we saw this past season, Stills is (in a vacuum) a relevant late-round add in dyno leagues with 12 teams.

Free Agency Outlook

As mentioned above, it's all about situation for Stills. If he does somehow remain in Miami, he's nothing more than the team's No. 3 receiver. Add in Ryan Tannehill's pedestrian fantasy output and that should be alarming. The touchdown rate we saw this past season is also an outlier, which complicates things even more.

With that said, there are a few situations in which Stills' fantasy relevance could be increased. He might find a situation, potentially with Kyle Shanahan in San Francisco, in which he will be relied on as a slot guy on an offense that utilizes three-wide sets. Depending on the quarterback, that could make Stills valuable.

This same logic fits with another three or four teams around the league. Needless to say, there will be interest in Stills' services on the open market.
