Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell held out of camp up until this past Friday. He did not take part in any training camp practices or preseason games. This has led to some speculation that Bell will be a bit slow to get going early in the season. We can pretty much throw that entire idea out the window.
In speaking to reporters on Monday, Bell indicated that he expects to see upwards of 30 touches against the Cleveland Browns in Week 1. That's definitely music to the ears of Bell fantasy owners.
Here's a guy that put up 1,884 yards in just 12 games last season. He accounted for 33 percent of the Steelers' total yards in the 12 games that he played, averaging an absurd 157 total yards per game. He caught 75 passes on 94 targets, averaging a whopping 5.6 yards per touch and 28 touches per game.
For their part, the Browns finished 31st in the NFL against the run last season and yielded a 77 percent catch rate to running backs. Bell also put up 201 total yards in his only game against the Browns.
The moral of the story here is clear. Buy Bell big time in the DFS world, no matter what his price tag is.
