We are 11 weeks into the NFL season and by now you should be comfortable with your lineup. This week brings in big names and a lot of talent. You know the drill; let’s take a look at wide receivers and hope you get some points.
1. AJ Green, Cincinnati Bengals
If you have to ask if you need to start Green or not this week, that’s the equivalent to considering if you want Michael Vick or Jay Cutler in your lineup. No question as to the answer of that one. With Green scoring at least once in his last eight games and averaging 91.1 receiving yards per game, Green is the choice wide receiver going into Week 11. In his second year as an NFL receiver, he’s consistent with catches and faces the conventional Chiefs this week. He will get you at least 20 points.
2. Calvin Johnson, Detroit Lions
Not the top receiver of the week, but definitely the biggest Johnson. Calvin may not be at 100%, but there should be no concern having him start on your team. In fact, he’s performing better than before. He has 19 catches for 336 yards and a touchdown over his last two games. Expect a touchdown from Johnson and 20 points. He's a damn good pick for your team. Good job snagging him.
3. Demaryius Thomas, Denver Broncos
Peyton Manning probably took Thomas to a very nice dinner after Sunday’s performance against the Carolina Panthers. He caught more than twice as many passes as any other player and has gone over the 100-yard mark four times in the last six games. 17 points for Thomas when he goes against the San Diego Chargers.
4. Vincent Jackson, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Jackson has Hercules numbers heading into Week 11. He has 36 catches and 769 yards and six touchdowns through nine games this year for the Bucs. Going up against the Panthers this week, Jackson should have no trouble putting 17 points for your team.
5. Roddy White, Atlanta Falcons
White recorded seven passes for 114 yards on 13 goals against the Saints in Week 10. Averaging 91.4 yards per game, starting him is a wise move. He brought in 11 fantasy points last week, but he could get up to 15 points this week when he faces the Arizona Cardinals. Matt Ryan will take care of him.
6. Andre Johnson, Houston Texans
Johnson went 4-4 in catching passes in the first half of the Houston’s win over the Chicago Bears last week, staying hot in the cold and rainy conditions. He was the Texans’ leading receiver. Do not be surprised if Johnson goes off on the Jacksonville Jaguars this week. He will bring the pain, and you will get at least 14 points for your team.
7. Danny Amendola, St. Louis Rams
There are two people you should know in this world; the muffin man, and Danny Amendola. He caught 11 passes and went for 102 yards against the Niners in week 10. Anticipate Bradford throwing to him a lot and Amendola getting yards and a touchdown. 13 points.
8. Reggie Wayne, Indianapolis Colts
Reggie Wayne has been doing his job as a wide receiver. He’s had at least five catches in each game this season (ESPN) and consistently beat Derek Cox and Aaron Ross in coverage. He’s averaging 103.4 yards per game. Wayne should have a quality game against the New England Patriots Sunday.
9. Wes Welker, New England Patriots
Any other week Welker would be higher up on the list, however with his ankle injury and possibly missing a full week of practice, he is at No. 9. He still could play Sunday though. Nevertheless, he caught six passes for 74 yards in the defeat of the Buffalo Bills in Week 10. If Welker does perform, he will get you 12 points.
10. Julio Jones, Atlanta Falcons
The Falcons are going to bounce back this week against Arizona. The Cards are going to get burned, and Julio Jones is part of the heat. With Jones going up against an awful Cardinals defense, you can bet Sunday is going to be Dia de los Muertos for Arizona. Jones averages 109 yards in his last three games. He will get 11 points and hopefully get in the end zone.
Honorable Mention: Larry Fitzgerald, Arizona Cardinals. 11 points.
Honorable Mention: Dez Bryant, Dallas Cowboys. 10 points
