Fantasy Impact of Marshawn Lynch to the Raiders

It's about as official as it can be. Former Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch will end his one-year retirement and join his hometown Oakland Raiders for the upcoming 2017 season.

Lynch, 31, was at the Raiders' facility on Wednesday, where he passed a physical. This completed a trade that sends Lynch to Northern California for a swap of late-round picks in the 2018 NFL Draft.

Lynch sat out the entire 2016 season after dealing with a multitude of injuries in Seattle the year prior. Prior to that injury-plagued 2015 campaign, the former Pro Bowl had put up 1,400-plus total yards with a combined 56 touchdowns over the previous four seasons.

We have no idea whether Lynch will be back to his former self with Oakland in 2017. What we do know is that he's going to be running behind the NFL's second-best offensive line and should see a bulk of the carries for Oakland after Latavius Murray departed for the Minnesota Vikings in free agency.

We will learn more about Lynch's potential role in Oakland after the three-day 2017 NFL Draft concludes this upcoming weekend. At that point, eDraft will be focusing on analysis as it relates to both Lynch and whoever the Raiders bring on to potentially take carries from him.
