Fantasy Impact: Raiders Beat Saints in High-Scoring Affair

Derek Carr threw for 319 yards with a touchdown and zero interceptions. Amari Cooper talled 137 yards on six receptions. Meanwhile, Michael Crabtree led the road-tripping Oakland Raiders with seven receptions.

Though, it was Crabtree's catch from Carr on a last-minute two-point conversion that enabled Oakland to come away on top 35-34 against the New Orleans Saints in the Bayou on Sunday afternoon. Well, it might have been Jack Del Rio's brilliant decision to go for two instead of tying it up after a touchdown with less than a minute left.

Either way, Oakland pulled off its biggest early-season win in nearly a decade.

For the Saints, this loss is hard to explain. That's magnified even further when looking at the fantasy numbers their offense put up.

Drew Brees completed 28-of-42 passes for 423 yards with four scores and zero picks. The trio of Brandin Cooks, Willie Snead and rookie Michael Thomas combined for 21 receptions for 373 yards and three scores.

Brees finished the early slate of games with the most fantasy points at all positions. Cooks came in second in that category as well.

This just goes to show us how poor the Saints' defense is. We talked about it heading in, and that unit let the team down big time.

Hey, at least we now know the Saints' offense will be putting up a ton of fantasy points throughout the season.
