The quarterback and running back positions in Denver seem to be a black hole in the fantasy football community this season. Both positions are up in the air, with the Broncos potentially set to use a committee approach at running back. 

Though, that might have changed a bit recently with reports Thursday morning that second-year running back Devontae Booker could miss the next 6-8 weeks with a wrist injury. 

Booker, 24, led the Broncos in rush attempts as a rookie last season with 174. Though, he did average a pedestrian 3.5 yards per rush while scoring five touchdowns. He also lost four fumbles in the process. 

This could potentially be a boon for those of you looking to pick up either Jamaal Charles or C.J. Anderson in preseason drafts. The two veterans were vying with Booker for touches during camp. 

Anderson is coming off a 2016 season that saw him limited to just seven games due to injury. During that span, he put up 565 total yards while averaging 4.0 yards per rush. Remember, Anderson is two years removed from finishing as a bottom end RB1 option. 

Meanwhile, Charles enters his first training camp with the Broncos after spending nine seasons with the division-rival Kansas City Chiefs. The former All-Pro running back has been limited to eight games since the end of the 2014 season due to multiple knee injuries. 

Of the bunch, Charles still provides the most upside. He's seemingly close to 100 percent heading into camp and has a track record of fantasy dominance. Here's a guy that has finished as the No. 1 fantasy running back twice in his career. If we're to recommend any Broncos running back as a late-round depth add, it would definitely be Charles. The injury to Booker magnifies this further.
