Fantasy Slant: Jamaal Charles Likely to Miss the Start of Training Camp

After tearing his ACL midway through the 2015 season, Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles is not on track to return in time for training camp later this summer.

Charles, 25, suffered the horrible knee injury in a Week 6 loss to the Chicago Bears after having put up 457 total yards and five scores in his first four games.

Considered one of the top all-around fantasy running backs in the NFL, Charles' injury history has to be of concern to owners around the fake football world. Remember, he missed all but two games during the 2011 season with another knee injury.

With an ADP that currently has him as the sixth running back off the board at the end of Round 1, there's definitely a risk here. Should Charles not be able to go during the preseason, these concerns will be magnified even further.

Considering this recent news, it might make sense to take a chance on Charcandrick West, who averaged four yards a rush and put up 848 total yards a season ago.
