First Round
1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Jameis Winston, Quarterback, Florida State
While there has been some talk of the Buccaneers being uncomfortable with Winston's off-field issues, this is probably etched in stone right now. Tampa Bay's entire offseason has led to the team adding a quarterback, and Winston is the team's No. 1 player at this position in the draft.
2. New York Jets from Tennessee Titans: Marcus Mariota, Quarterback, Oregon
It's pretty clear that the Jets are looking to move up, so this shouldn't come as too much of a surprise. With Geno Smith and Ryan Fitzpatrick on the roster, we already know the Jets need to find an upgrade. After Mariota, the class weakens considerably. If the team is high on Mariota, it's reasonable to expect a trade-up here.
3. Jacksonville Jaguars: Dante Fowler Jr, EDGE, Florida
Gus Bradley finally gets his front office to exhaust a high pick on his defense. Fowler Jr. may be a little raw, but he's the best all-around EDGE player in the entire draft. His presence in the Jaguars front seven could potentially transform the team's defense.
4. Oakland Raiders: Leonard Williams, Defensive Tackle, Southern California
Indications are that the Raiders are looking at a wide receiver or a potential trade down here. While both would make sense, the addition of Williams would be huge for Jack Del Rio's defense. Just imagine this stud defensive tackle clearing lanes and taking on double teams for Khalil Mack. That's a recipe for success for the next decade.
5. Washington Redskins: Vic Beasley, EDGE, Clemson
The Redskins have gone as far to indicate that pass rush is a major need for the team's defense. And while there has been some talk of trade down here, it just makes too much sense for Washington to add the premier pass-rush talent in the draft.
6. Tennessee Titans from New York Jets: Amari Cooper, Wide Receiver, Alabama
If the Titans are able to trade down from two and add the top receiver in the draft class, it would be absolutely huge for the team. Rumors are continuing to persist that Tennessee will draft Mariota No. 2 overall, but I have a hard time believing it will do that with Zach Mettenberger on board. In reality, is Mariota THAT much better than Mett? If the Titans don't think so, a trade-down scenario makes sense. Adding Cooper with Kendall Wright and Justin Hunter would be all sorts of sexy.
7. Chicago Bears: Kevin White, Wide Receiver, West Virginia
Trade Brandon Marshall, and then draft a wide receiver? Well, that doesn't make much sense on the surface. However, it's readily apparent that the Bears have committed to Jay Cutler for at least one more year, so why not give him another elite receiving option with Alshon Jeffery? The issues with EDGE players Randy Gregory and Shane Ray could also play a role here. If both didn't have recent off-field issues, one would likely be the Bears pick.
8. Cleveland Browns from Atlanta Falcons: DeVante Parker, Wide Receiver, Louisville
All this talk of the Browns being interested in Mariota has to be a smoke screen, right? There's no way they trade up for a quarterback, let alone exhaust a third first-round pick in four years on this position. Even Ray Farmer is smarter than that. Parker will provide whoever is under center a true starting receiver out of the gate. Trading up for him makes much more sense.
9. New York Giants: Shaq Thompson, Linebacker, Washington
The Giants have been missing that off-ball linebacker for a long time now. This is something Thompson can provide out of the gate. He can even move to safety on obvious passing situations. While this might seem like a bit of a reach for Tom Coughlin and company, Thompson is the dynamic player this defense needs.
10. St. Louis Rams: Trae Waynes, Cornerback, Michigan State
Janoris Jenkins has been an absolute bust for the Rams. Based on this team's defensive front, adding an upper-echelon corner in the draft would go a long way in making this defense one of the best in the NFL. Waynes may be overshadowed a bit by Marcus Peters, but he's a safer pick in the top 10.
11. San Diego Chargers from Minnesota Vikings: Todd Gurley, Running Back, Georgia
Trading up to the 11th pick for a running back. Man, aren't we past that in today's NFL? Normally, I would say so. However, the Chargers may be that dynamic ball carrier away from overtaking the Denver Broncos in the AFC West. If Gurley returns to 100 percent, he will be a top-five running back in the NFL. The Chargers should make this pick, and not look back.
12. Atlanta Falcons: Randy Gregory, EDGE, Nebraska
The best of both worlds here. Atlanta picks up an additional pick and still gets the EDGE player it would have likely taken with the eighth pick. Not much more to add here.
13. New Orleans Saints: Danny Shelton, Defensive Tackle, Washington
A massive interior defensive lineman filling the gaps and opening up edges in the Saints 3-4. This would be an absolutely perfect fit for the fledgling franchise. Shelton is a monster of a man, who will have a long Pro Bowl career.
14. Miami Dolphins: Melvin Gordon, Running Back, Wisconsin
Sure the Dolphins could decide to stick with Lamar Miller as the team's starting running back. But in reality, he's not the type of running back that's going to scare opposing defenses. Gordon is. This Wisconsin product provides a rare combination of speed, power and vision that should make him an All-Pro performer in this offense for years to come.
15. Carolina Panthers from San Francisco 49ers: Brandon Scherff, Offensive Line, Iowa
The first MAJOR trade up of the first round, Carolina moves up 10 spots to FINALLY give Cam Newton that franchise left tackle. There's absolutely no way Dave Gettlemen and company are going to go into next year with Jonathan Martin and Michael Oher as the team's two starting tackles. It's just not happening.
16. Houston Texans: Malcom Brown, Defensive Tackle, Texas
Danny Shelton would be the more exciting pick for Houston, but it's unlikely he's going to be available. While flying under the radar, Brown can act as the same type of inside presence for a Texans team that needs that with J.J. Watt and Jadeveon Clowney coming off the edge.
17. Minnesota Vikings from San Diego Chargers: Marcus Peters, Cornerback, Washington
The idea of teaming Peters up with Xavier Rhodes has to be sexy for the brass in Minnesota. This selection would give the team three Pro Bowl caliber players in the secondary to go with safety Harrison Smith. Talk about another Legion of Boom.
18. Kansas City Chiefs: Jaelen Strong, Wide Receiver, Arizona State
I would personally like to see Kansas City trade up for one of the three top receivers in the class, but that just doesn't seem realistic. If this team is committed to Alex Smith at quarterback, it needs to give him more weapons on the outside. With Strong's solid red-zone ability, he'd be a solid No. 2 behind Jeremy Maclin.
19. Cleveland Browns from Buffalo Bills: Bud Dupree, EDGE, Kentucky
If the Browns are able to come out of day one with Parker and Dupree, the front office would be extremely happy. Dupree may not be the flashiest of pass rushers, but he could potentially be the most complete. As solid against the run as getting to the quarterback, Dupree would be an immediate three-down player.
20. Philadelphia Eagles: La'el Collins, Offensive Line, LSU
With rumors that Evan Mathis is on the trade block and the departure of Todd Herremans, the Eagles are going to be looking for a starting guard here. Collins might be able to play outside, but he's going to be a dominating force along the interior of an NFL offensive line for the next decade.
21. Cincinnati Bengals: Arik Armstead, Defensive End, Oregon
About as raw as they come for a first-round talent, Armstead has so much untapped potential. It's all about figuring out his technique issues and actually giving 100 percent on every play. If Marvin Lewis and company can get the most out of Armstead, he'd be that pass-rush threat they need.
22. Pittsburgh Steelers: Kevin Johnson, Cornerback, Wake Forest
A high risher, Johnson becomes the third corner off the board here. Some teams even have him as the top cornerback in the draft class. Either way, this has to be a target position for Pittsburgh, who saw Ike Taylor retire earlier this month.
23. Detroit Lions: Eddie Goldman, Defensive Tackle, Florida State
Ndamukong Suh and Nick Fairley are gone. While the Ravens did add Haloti Ngata via a trade, Goldman can act as a long-term replacement in the team's Wide 9 defense.
24. Arizona Cardinals: Cameron Erving, Offensive Line, Florida State
It would be nice to see the Cardinals add one of the top running backs in the class, but that's not a realistic scenario at 24. Instead, the team adds a physically dominating offensive lineman that can play all three positions on the offensive line. Erving would likely start at center out of the gate, but could easily move to guard a bit down the road.
25. San Francisco 49ers: Dorial Green-Beckham, Wide Receiver, Oklahoma
San Francisco finds itself able to protect against adding one of the biggest character issue individuals in the draft by trading down and picking up a second-round pick. Green-Beckham is the most physically dominating receiver in the draft, and is a long-term replacement for Anquan Boldin.
26. Baltimore Ravens: Breshad Perriman, Wide Receiver, Central Florida
A less-than ideal scenario, Baltimore is left with reaching for a project receiver with the two top running backs and three top corners off the board. However, Ozzie Newsome and company could do worse than bringing in this ultra-talented receiver.
27. Dallas Cowboys: Landon Collins, Safety, Alabama
An in-the-box safety more than anything, Collins fits the Cowboys scheme to a T. While he won't find himself in single high coverage much, he can stick his nose in there when it counts, and adds a physical presence to a secondary that seems to be lacking that nuance as of late.
28. Denver Broncos: Maxx Williams, Tight End, Minnesota
A reach? Maybe. But if the Broncos are going all in this year and next, they would be well suited to give Peyton Manning more weaons. Williams is the consensus No. 1 pass-catching tight end in the draft.
29. Chicago Bears from Indianapolis Colts: Brett Hundley, Quarterback, UCLA
Ouch. Has it really come to this? If Chicago doesn't trade up for Mariota, it's likely going to find another quarterback later in the draft. In addition to this, some team is likely going to take a chance on Hundley at the bottom of Round 1. The ultra-talented UCLA product is nowhere near starter-ready, but he could sit behind Cutler for a year or two.
30. Green Bay Packers: Shane Ray, EDGE, Missouri
A recently reported foot injury coupled with a marijuana bust. It hasn't necessarily been the best past two weeks for Ray. However, he's still seen as a top-end talent, and fills a need at outside linebacker for Green Bay.
31. New Orleans Saints: Phillip Dorsett, Wide Receiver, Miami (F)
I don't personally view Dorsett as a first-round talent, but he does fit what the Saints need opposite Brandin Cooks at wide recevier. We all know speedsters do well in the Saints' scheme.
32. New England Patriots: Byron Jones, Connecticut
A freak. That's pretty much the best term one could use to describe Jones. If this talented young corner can fix a few technique issues, he could very well turn out to be the best cornerback in the draft. With both Darrelle Revis and Brandon Browner gone, the Pats need to add a corner here.
