Injury Alert: Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. Could Miss Week 1 with Ankle Sprain

New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. suffered a sprained ankle in the team's game against the Cleveland Browns on Monday, an MRI has confirmed. At this point, it seems the sprain is in the lower ankle, which is much better than the alternative — a high-ankle sprain.

Despite this, it looks like OBJ could miss New York's season opener against the division-rival Dallas Cowboys. He will surely sit out the final two preseason games, after which point a determination will be made.

If OBJ is not able to go, it will give youngsters Sterling Shepart and Evan Engram bigger opportunities to take advantage of a bad Dallas Cowboys pass defense.

In any event, this is most definitely something to keep an eye on, specifically when it comes to setting our Week 1 DFS lineups. Beckham Jr's injury has no real impact on his preseason ADP in year-long leagues.
