The Indianapolis Colts have officially ruled quarterback Andrew Luck out for the team's Week 1 game against the Los Angeles Rams.
Luck has missed the entire off-season program and preseason after undergoing shoulder surgery following the 2016 campaign. With Luck out of action, Scott Tolzien will start for the Colts. Meanwhile, the recently acquired Jacoby Brissett will back him up.
Needless to say, Tolzien starting under center leaves a whole heck of a lot to be desired. He's in no way a relevant fantasy option against a stout Rams defense. In fact, one could easily draw the conclusion what you should start the Rams defense in DFS leagues this week.
On the other hand, look for more usage from 34-year-old Frank Gore after he finished last season as the 12th-best fantasy running back. Gore could very well see north of 20 touches this week, making him a likely RB1 option, especially with Rams All-Pro defensive tackle Aaron Donald still holding out.
