Jacoby Jones was a factor in getting the bling on the fingers of Baltimore Ravens players and coaching staff last year, however he kept under the radar for the most part when comparing to Torrey Smith and Anquan Boldin. Except of course for his filthy kickoff returns. Jones racked up 1,167 yards in kickoff returns. As much as two of his seasons combined.
Since Boldin is now representing red and gold with the San Francisco 49ers, Jacoby is going to need to step up and be a strong wide receiver for Joe Flacco. Let’s take a look and see what you can expect from Jones a year after being crowned a Super Bowl champion.
2012 Statistics

2013 Outlook
Hopefully during the offseason Flacco has put himself in more of a leader type mentality. He is going to need it with Ray Lewis and Ed Reed gone. Jones will be a favorite target of Flacco’s and will be targeted more than last year. The kick-off return scenario may not be in his cards since last year’s was unbelievable. The Dancing with the Stars man will probably be in the 700-800 yard range in touchdown receptions, he will also rack up several touchdowns this season as well. This, in addition, depends on Tandon Doss and Tommy Streeter and how they play during camp. They are two threats for Jones, but Jones has more of the veteran experience.
Dynasty Outlook
With Boldin gone, and most of the passes being thrown to Smith, dynasty wise, having him on your team is smart. Flacco does not ignore Jones in the endzone, and Jacoby always manages to come through. If you have the chance to snag him do so. He’s primed to put up 800-plus yard season. The Ravens are working him hard in the off-season, he has a lot of cleats to fill.
