Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette (Foot) Expects to Be Ready for Week 1

Jacksonville Jaguars running back Leonard Fournette provided a reason for fantasy owners and Jacksonville fans to breathe easier on Saturday. Fournette told reporters the toe injury that kept him out of practice earlier this week and caused him to miss the team's second preseason game, he does not expect to keep him out for the regular season opener.

The rookie running back suffered the toe injury when a teammate stepped on in during practice. Head Coach Doug Marrone played it safe with the team's fourth-overall pick and held him out of practice and the second preseason game. While it certainly raised some concerns for fans about Jacksonville's workhorse running back, now those fans can breathe easy.

Fournette remains a top-15 running back option in fantasy this season, even on an offense that doesn't possess a reliable quarterback to take pressure off the running game. While he may share work to start the season, it shouldn't be long before he leaps ahead of the competition and carries the heavy share of the carries for this offense.
