Lost in the Kansas City Chiefs 30-0 win over the Houston Texans on Saturday is the fact that star wide receiver Jeremy Maclin suffered what appeared to be some sort of an ACL injury.
Questions following the playoff win were immediately directed at the possibility that Maclin tore his ACL. However, the Chiefs got some pretty good news the day after:
Depending on the severity of the sprain, it could be a multi-week recovery. This is something we have seen countless times around the NFL in the past.
If Maclin can't go against the New England Patriots next weekend, it would be a huge loss for the Chiefs.
Prior to the injury on Saturday, Maclin had put up a touchdown in three consecutive games and was among the most productive receivers in the NFL over the last half of the regular season. He finished the regular year with 87 receptions for nearly 1,100 yards.
