Jimmy Butler (Knee) Taken Off Court in Wheelchair

The Chicago Bulls are left holding their breath after star shooting guard Jimmy Butler left the game in a wheel chair, suffering a left knee injury. It's the same knee that kept Butler out of Wednesday's game against Sacramento but he played through on Friday.

Butler suffered the injury on a drive to the hoop where he made contact with Nuggets center Joffrey Lauvergne then came down awkwardly on his left knee. The video (below) shows Butler come down on his left leg where it appears to buckle and he falls tot he ground, immediately rolling in pain.

A wheelchair was brought out to assist Butler, but he got up to shoot his free throws, though was unable to put any real weight on his left leg. Butler then left the court in the wheel chair. Butler was immediately ruled out for the game, though a positive sign is he was able to get off the wheel chair and walk from the X-ray room to the locker room.

Butler will later undergo an MRI to determine the severity of the knee injury, but is almost certainly out for tomorrow's game. Tony Snell will get the start in his place.
