Kansas City Chiefs Believe Jamaal Charles has Torn ACL

Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles suffered an ugly-looking leg injury in the team's loss to the Chicago Bears on Sunday. Charles, a four-time Pro Bowl performer, was carted to the locker room following the injury.

What many of us believed to be the case during the game may have been confirmed by Chiefs head coach Andy Reid after the dust settled:

This isn't a major surprise considering how bad the injury looked as it happened.

Reid went on to indicate that Charles will have an MRI to confirm the initial diagnosis.

Now at 1-4 on the season, this is a major blow for any hopes the Chiefs had of rebounding from early-season struggles. Losers of four in a row, Kansas City will have to move forward without its star running back.

From a fantasy perspective, Sunday's unfortunate news likely ruined a ton of seasons. In terms of his preseason ADP, Charles was considered one of the top two overall fantasy players — right there with Adrian Peterson

With Charles sidelined for the year, Charcandrick West will take over the starting duties.
