Kellen Moore Named Dallas Cowboys Starter

Here's a headline that you thought you would never read. The Dallas Cowboys have named Kellen Moore the starting quarterback for the team's Week 16 game against the Buffalo Bills.

Moore, who starred for Boise State during an impressive four-year collegiate career, had been on the Cowboys practice squad up until earlier this month.

With Matt Cassel struggling Saturday night against the New York Jets, Jason Garrett and Co. turned to Moore in desperation. He responded by leading the Cowboys to a bit more success on offense, but ultimately finished the game with three interceptions.

Now completely out of the playoff race, the Cowboys have clearly made the decision to see what they have in Moore as a potential backup to Tony Romo in the final two games of the season.

Even then, it's hard to imagine the weak-armed quarterback providing the team with much clarity at what has been a disastrous backup quarterback position.
