Alshon Jeffery and Eddie Royal, Wide Receivers, Chicago Bears
With Jeffery missing another game to a calf and hamstring injury, the Bears find themselves short-handed at wide receiver again. That's only magnified with Royal missing Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs. This means that Marquess Wilson and Josh Bellamy will be the Bears two starting receivers. Neither offer much. Instead, check in on Martellus Bennett as a solid late DFS play. Matt Forte should also receive a nice amount of targets against a lackluster Chiefs pass defense.
Marshawn Lynch, Running Back, Seattle Seahawks
As expected, Lynch will be sidelined against the Cincinnati Bengals with a hamstring injury. Thomas Rawls will start in his stead, and he's a solid under-the-radar DFS option. Despite a high-ankle sprian, Fred Jackson is active, but it remains to be seen whether he can make much of an impact.
DeSean Jackson, Wide Receiver, Washington Redskins
Jackson is said to be close to playing, but he's inactive for Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons. Pierre Garcon, who was questionable heading in, is active. He's going to be a fantasy boon against a Falcons team that forces its opponents to pass the ball in usually high-scoring games. Though, Garcon's value dips with him now slated to go up against Desmond Trufant.
Jordan Reed, Tight End, Washington Redskins
As expected, Reed will be sidelined this week. Dealing with a concussion and a sprained MCL, this is expected to be a multi-week injury. Derek Carrier will start in his stead and could see a nice amount of targets with a tight end friendly quarterback in Kirk Cousins under center.
Steve Smith, Wide Receiver, Baltimore Ravens
With Smith inactive, Kamar Aiken takes over as Baltimore's No. 1 receiver. This makes Aiken a solid value play in DFS contests. Outside of that, the Ravens don't have much substance at wide receiver from a fantasy perspective.
Crockett Gillmore, Tight End, Baltimore Ravens
Considering Gillmore had played an important role in Baltimore's pass offense and with Smith now inactive, Maxx Williams becomes an intriguing DFS play. He's seen an uptick of action in recent weeks and could be a boon against a questionable Browns defense as it relates to coverage in the middle of the field.
Davante Adams, Wide Receiver, Green Bay Packers
With Adams out, Richard Rodgers, who had a touchdown against the San Francisco 49ers last week, becomes a more valuable tight end option. Meanwhile, James Jones will continue to offer a nice amount of upside opposite Randall Cobb.
Karlos Williams and LeSean McCoy, Running Backs, Buffalo Bills
With their top two running backs sidelined, the Bills will likely be relying on Anthony Dixon to shoulder the load at running back. And while he's a decent under-valued option, this mainly means the ball will be put into the hands of quarterback Tyrod Taylor more than originally anticipated.
