Last Minute FanDuel Tip, Week 5: Embrace the Atlanta Falcons' Passing Game

It's always fun when you can put together a stack in daily fantasy football. It can make those high-scoring games even more exciting, knowing you have a QB-RB or QB-WR stack carrying you in that game. As we look for diversity in lineups, while also finding value plays to help bring balance, the Atlanta Falcons offense provides the perfect opportunity this week.

The Falcons will welcome Washington's secondary into town on Sunday and it could turn into an aerial assault. Washington has allowed the 10th-most fantasy points to wide receivers through four games, but that number may not do enough justice given it's only been on 45 receptions, the second-fewest in the top-10.

Sunday's game is also music to the ears of Falcons' offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan, a master at getting the football to his offensive weapons and doing so in creative ways. While Devonta Freeman has dominated the past two weeks, this should be more of a passing game for Atlanta, given Washington's has allowed the fewest-fantasy points to running backs this season.

Matt Ryan is the third-most expensive quarterback in fantasy this week, but frankly he is worth it. Ryan easily has the potential in this game to throw for 300-plus yards and three touchdowns. Which would make him a top-five quarterback on the day. If Ryan can come through, it's outstanding news for Julio Jones, the centerpiece of this offense. Jones has been the most-targeted receiver through four games, which includes a six-target game last week, when Atlanta blew out the Houston Texans.

Of course you want to try and squeeze in value into stacks. That's where Leonard Hankerson comes in. After a 100-yard game last week, it's clear Hankerson is now the Falcons' number-two receiver, which should already make him an intriguing play this week. When you add in that this will be a revenge game for him against his former team, he becomes an outstanding value play at $6,000.
