LeSean McCoy, Chris Ivory with Solid Performances on Thursday Night

By virtue of their 22-17 win over the New York Jets on Thursday night, the Buffalo BIlls improved to 5-4 on the season and caused a pretty big mess in the AFC Playoff race heading into the bulk of Week 10 action this upcoming weekend.

With a 22-3 lead late in the third quarter, it really looked like Buffalo was going to run away with this one. However, two Jets touchdowns in a 12-minute span heading into the final half of the fourth quarter made this one a game.

After a botched punt with just over five minutes remaining in the game, the Jets took over inside Buffalo's 15 down five, the Jets failed to punch the ball in. And instead of going for the field goal to pull within two, Todd Bowles and Co. decided to go for it on fourth down from the Bills seven. Unfortunately for the home team, a fourth-down pass from Ryan Fitzpatrick to the seldom-targeted Kellen Davis fell incomplete.

Riding the strong legs of one LeSean McCoy, Buffalo was pretty much able to run the clock out on the ensuing possession.

Nursing an injured shoulder after a short week of practice, McCoy didn't look like he was struggling in this one. He tallied 112 yards on 19 attempts while adding 47 yards through the air on five receptions. For McCoy, it was his second consecutive 100-yard game after struggling through his first five game with the Bills.

On the losing side, Chris Ivory put up 99 yards on 18 attempts. This comes on the heels of Ivory tallying 84 rushing yards in the Jets last three games combined.
