Marshawn Lynch a Game-Time Decision for Week 3

Just a few days before the Seattle Seahawks are set to kickoff their home opener against the Chicago Bears, some concerning news was delivered on Friday by head coach Pete Carroll. Running back Marshawn Lynch popped up on the injury report with a calf injury and is a game-time decision for Sunday's game.

The injury popped up on Wednesday when Lynch missed practice, but he returned to practice on Thursday. Hearing Carroll call Lynch a game-time decision certainly raises some concern on the final full day of practice and is listed as questionable for the game, but it's important to note coaches have manipulated the injury report system to try and find any competitive advantage.

If Lynch is unable to play against the Bears, it would be a major disappointment for fantasy owners hoping this would be the week he bounces back with a big performance. Chicago's defense has been gashed by both the run and pass to open up the season, allowing Chris Johnson and David Johnson  to gash them for over 100 combined rushing yards.

Fred Jackson would become Seattle's top running back in his place and warrant immediate RB2 play in PPR leagues and provide an excellent value play on FanDuel for only $6,000. eDraft will be sure to keep you updated on the situation when more information comes out.
