The New York Jets have placed second-year tight end Jace Amaro on season-ending injured reserve with a torn labrum (shoulder injury).
Amaro, a second-round pick in last year's draft, recorded 38 receptions for 345 yards and two scores as a rookie. He was going to be relied on to up his game significantly in his sophomore campaign. Sadly, the Texas Tech product won't be given that opportunity in 2015.
With an ADP in the 350 range, Amaro wasn't a realistic option outside of deeper leagues. His likely replacement, Jeff Cumberland, won't be either.
