Veteran quarterback Michael Vick will be suiting up for the fourth NFL team of his career this season. According to mutliple media reports, the Pittsburgh Steelers have signed the former No. 1 overall pick.
Vick had given the Steelers a visit earlier on Tuesday, working out for the team's brass. This signing is a direct result of Ben Roethlisberger's primary backup, Bruce Gradkowski, being placed on injured reserve with a finger injury.
Vick, 35, has 12 years of NFL experience. He was last a regular starter for the Philadelphia Eagles back in 2012, throwing 12 touchdowns compared to 10 interceptions while losing seven of his 10 starts. In his only campaign with the New York Jets, Vick started just three games last year.
The four-time Pro Bowl performer last played at an above-average level for Philadelphia back in 2010. Signing the veteran off the street in late August, Pittsburgh better hope Big Ben maintains his health throughout the year.
