In week 11 there are a lot of favorable matchups for some players to put up a nice amount of points. A lot of these guys are matched up against defenses that...well let’s just say aren’t having a really good year. I’m judging how good the defenses are strictly off the number of points and yards they give up per game, since that is what really brings in the fantasy points. Also these players are guys that are pretty talented and are hard to contain by the best defenses.
5. Larry Fitzgerald Receiver Arizona Cardinals
Fitzgerald is having a decent year considering the Cardinals just aren’t that good. He currently has almost 500 yards on 39 catches for 5 touchdowns through the air. He’s also had double digit fantasy points four times this year, including a 20 point game in week 1 versus the St. Louis Rams. This week they travel to Jacksonville to face one of the worst defenses in the league in the Jaguars. Fitzgerald is one of the best receivers in the league talent wise on a team that doesn’t have a consistent running game. If Carson Palmer plays decent I expect a heavy dose of Fitzgerald early and often.
4. Vincent Jackson Receiver Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Jackson is another elite receiver on a struggling team, but he has played pretty well so far this year. He has 662 yards and 4 touchdowns on 46 catches this season which is pretty good for what he’s gone through in Tampa Bay this year. The Falcons are also another team notorious for giving up a lot of points and yards. Jackson had prior success against the Atlanta secondary in week 7 when he exploded for 25 points on 10 catches for 138 yards and 2 touchdowns. He might not get you 25 points again but I expect him to have a big game.
3. LeSean McCoy Running Back Philadelphia Eagles
McCoy is a very good running back and he piles on the points when it comes to fantasy. He is currently averaging 14 fantasy points per game and he is going to face a Redskins defense who have proven to be horrendous tacklers. He’s gone over 14 fantasy points seven times this year including a 24 point performance against Washington in the season opener. Since the Redskins haven’t got much better on defense and McCoy hasn’t slowed down I look for him to keep of the pace in Philadelphia this week.
2. Nick Foles Quarterback Philadelphia Eagles
Well I hate to say it but the Redskins don’t exactly have a good history when it comes to the Eagles passing offense either. Foles has also played really well this year especially the last two weeks against the Green Bay Packers and the Oakland Raiders. He also has weapons like McCoy and DeSean Jackson that have had prior success against Washington. In the opener against Washington Jackson went for 16 points and he might be in for a repeat performance. Also with Foles being so hot throwing for a record tying seven touchdowns against the Raiders, I’m not sure if the Redskins can keep him from having a big day.
1. Case Keenum Quarterback Houston Texans
The Texans season is probably over but this week Keenum will have a pretty good opportunity to put up some points up for his owners. The Raiders secondary just gave up a seven touchdown game to Foles a couple weeks ago and I think Keenum has more weapons to work with. Andre Johnson one of the best receivers in the game is having a pretty good season and DeAndre Hopkins has developed into a nice second option. Add in the fact that the Raiders will have to come to Houston, I look for Keenum to put on a show in front of the fans he’s played for since his college days.
*Extra Credit*
One extra player that will no doubt have a big game Marshawn Lynch will have a really good game this week but then again he has a good game every week. The Seahawks are playing the Minnesota Vikings who have been banged up this season. They also have been pretty bad on defense. Even in a win last week the Vikings defense let Alfred Morris run all over them in the first have. It’s a good chance Lynch will take advantage of this banged up unit and get his owners a nice amount of points.
