We knew something was up between Sio Moore and the new Oakland Raiders coaching staff when he didn't play much defense during the preseason. While hip surgery could have been one of the primary reasons for that, Raiders head coach Jack Del Rio didn't mince words after the team's preseason finale Thursday night:

Moore had lofty expectations entering the NFL. He was one of many stars for a surprising UCONN defense during his stint, and was seen as a potential building block for the Raiders.
In two seasons with Oakland, Moore played in 26 games (22 starts), recording 138 tackles (105 solo) and 7.5 sacks.
Oakland recives a sixth-round pick in 2016 as compensation.
