Report: Antonio Gates a Game-Time Decision with MCL Sprain

Just days before the San Diego Chargers and Antonio Gates are set to face off against an Oakland Raiders defense that has allowed the most fantasy points to tight ends this season, it now appears Gates availability is in real doubt for Sunday's game.

The San Diego Union-Tribute Chargers' reporter Michael Gehlken reports. Gates has battled injuries throughout his career but this knee injury has been different for him. "It's something I'm not accustomed to dealing with," Gates said.

Gates will test out the knee before the game and see if his ability is limited significantly enough to where he should hold out or if it's something he can play through. If Gates is unable to suit up, Ladarius Green would step in as the starter.

Green would become an immediate must start in both season-long leagues and in daily fantasy football. Green comes in at just $5,100 on FanDuel, making him a fantastic value play. Even if Gates is able to play, Green makes a nice value play for one or two of your lineups.
