Report: DeMarco Murray OUT for Week 3 Against the New York Jets

It appears that Philadelphia Eagles running back DeMarco Murray will enter October with a total of 11 rushing yards. The struggling free-agent signing is reportedly going to sit out he team's game against the New York Jets on Sunday after suffering a hamstring injury during the week.

Directly from the Eagles' sideline at The Meadowlands on Sunday morning:

With Murray out, Ryan Mathews will get the start and Darren Sproles will play a larger role for an 0-2 Eagles team that is in a near must-win situaion. Unfortunately, they are going up against a Jets defense that is among the best in the NFL. Through two games, the Jets defense ranks first in the NFL in scoring at 8.5 points per game and is yielding less than 100 rushing yards per outing.
