Report: Philadelphia Eagles will listen to offers for DeMarco Murray

Things have not worked out for DeMarco Murray and the Philadelphia Eagles. One of the biggest free agent signings last offseason, a year later everyone involved is disappointed and could be looking for a way out, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Murray, who will enter the second year of a five-year, $40 million deal, reportedly wants out of Philadelphia. Things did not work out well for him last season, posting just 702 rushing yards and six rushing touchdowns after rushing for 1,845 yards with the Dallas Cowboys in 2014.

While Murray might want out of Philadelphia, he is set to count $8 million against the cap this season and $9 million for the next three years, not a desirable contract. It would make trading him more difficult for Philadelphia, struggling to find a suitor who will pay that price for Murray in addition to what they would have to give up via trade.

If Murray was traded this offseason, Ryan Mathews would emerge as the Eagles' lead running back, boosting his fantasy value.
