It has not been a good week for young receivers around the NFL. Houston Texans wide receiver Will Fuller broke his collarbone on Wednesday and is out indefinitely. Meanwhile, New York Giants wide receiver Sterling Shepard suffered an ankle sprain that will force him to miss some time.
Now, it looks like Tennessee Titans rookie first-round pick Corey Davis could miss some time. He went down with a hamstring injury on Thursday and will need an MRI to show the severity of the injury itself.
Davis, the No. 5 overall pick in this year's draft, is slated to start opposite Rishard Matthews for Marcus Mariota and Co. And while he wasn't being valued as anything more than a bench option in standard leagues. Thursday's developments could push Davis down a tad in late-summer drafts.
Hamstring injuries have a way about them. They linger. So the Titans will likely play it close to the vest with their talented young receiver.
