Todd Gurley Won't Play in Rams Regular Season Opener

St. Louis Rams running back Todd Gurley did not appear in a single preseason game while recovering from a torn ACL he suffered last season at Georgia. So it shouldn't be considered too much of a surprise that the team announced its 2015 first-round pick will not play in the regular season opener next week against the Seattle Seahawks.

With Tre Mason also questionable after suffering a hamstring injury last month, the Rams' running back situation is up in the air.

It's likely that Isaiah Pead will get some reps with Benny Cunningham acting as the starter. Neither represent value plays in DFS leagues against a stout Seahawks run defense.

As it relates to Gurley, the expectation has to be that he won't be fully unleashed until October at the earliest.
