With Jordy Nelson lost for the season due to a torn ACL, the Green Bay Packers have to find the right mix of receivers behind starters Randall Cobb and Davante Adams.
In a somewhat surprising move, the team elevated rookie third-round pick Ty Montgomery over second-year player Jeff Janis in practice on Tuesday.
This could be big news from a fantasy perspective. Green Bay runs a ton of 11 personnel packages (1 RB, 1 TE and 3 WR). If Montgomery is indeed that No. 3 opposite Adams with Cobb on the inside, it's an indication that the Stanford product could be a valuable under-the-radar fantasy option this season. Remember, Adams averaged nearly 50 snaps per game as the team's third wide receiver last season.
