Washington TE Jordan Reed Ruled Out for Week 11

For the third consecutive week, Washington will be without the services of oft-injured tight end Jordan Reed due to a strained hamstring. In Reed's absence, Vernon Davis will slide into his place and see a significant number of snaps on Sunday.

Reed, who reportedly suffered a setback last week with his hamstring, missed all three days of practice this week and could only manage to do some light work and stretching off to the side of the practice field. While many expected him to be a game-time decision on Sunday morning, now it seems Reed hasn't even reached that point in his recovery yet.

In his past two starts, Davis' production is everything you could ask for from a mid-range tight end and as a value play in DFS. Kirk Cousins targeted him a combined 20 times over the past two weeks and the pair connected  13 times for 148 receiving yards over that span. The volume of targets and Davis' ability to get open past the chains makes him a solid bet to surpass 60-plus receiving yards in a game or average 10-plus yards per catch.

With Reed's status still unknown, Davis is a must-own right now in fantasy given his production and should be started on a weekly basis in leagues of 10-plus teams and see shares in DFS lineups.
