Week 14 brings up clinch talks and a lot of surprising performances. This week is the list of tight ends that you should start on your fantasy lineup. If none of them are listed below; lie, cheat, still, and kill. It's playoff season baby.
1. Tony Gonzalez, Atlanta
There are not many people in the fantasy football world who were bummed to get Gonzalez on their team. This journalist is one of the lucky ones. Tony caught four balls for 58 yards and a touchdown Thursday in a win over the Saints. You should never bench him anyway, but if you have the slightest inkling you might, ignore that inkling. Gonzalez will land you 12 points.
2. Jason Witten, Dallas
Witten led the Cowboys in receiving against the Eagles. He has been Tony Romo’s best friend on the field with at least 40 receiving yards in nine straight games. He faces the Cincinnat Bengals this week where he should repeat his outstanding status. 12 points.
3. Aaron Hernandez, New England
Hernandez needs to be on your list every week without question (obviously not if there is a bye, I’m hoping you did not need me to tell you that). We all know fantasy owners of Rob Gronkowski were devastated when he got injured, however, Hernandez made him a distant memory with his numbers. He played a role in the win against the New York Jets and Miami Dolphions. Count him in a tough match against the Houston Texans this week. Hernandez should get you 11 points.
4. Brandon Myers, Oakland
Myers caught 14 passes for 130 yards and a touchdown in Sunday’s loss to the Cleveland Browns. He caught 14 of his 15 targets which definitely puts a smile on Carson Palmer’s face. He faces the Denver Broncos on Thursday; make sure you start him because he will be strong for your fantasy team. 11 points.
5. Owen Daniels, Houston
Daniels caught three passes for 43 yards in Week 13 versus the Tennessee Titans. Daniels was targeted a team-high 10 times on the day. He does face a tough New England Patriots team on Monday Night Football, however, he should still land you double digits. 10 points for Daniels.
