Titans at Jaguars

The Tennessee Titans got a 53-yard, game-winning field goal by Ryan Succop in the final seconds to upset Kansas City last week and remain tied for the AFC South Division lead. The Titans visit the reeling Jacksonville Jaguars on Saturday and are looking to set up a potential matchup with Houston for the division title in Week 17.

Nine straight losses cost embattled Jacksonville coach Gus Bradley his job last week. The Jaguars fired the fourth-year coach, who was just 14-48 overall, after Jacksonville blew a double-digit lead at Houston on Sunday and named Doug Marrone the interim coach. Looking to earn its first playoff berth since 2008, Tennessee has won three straight -- all coming by six points or less -- and lead the NFL in red-zone efficiency, scoring touchdowns 73 percent of the time. Marcus Mariota threw for 270 yards and two touchdowns as the Titans rolled to a 36-22 victory over the Jaguars earlier in the season.

ABOUT THE TITANS (8-6): DeMarco Murray ranks second in the NFL with 1,224 yards rushing for the league's third-ranked ground attack, which got a boost from rookie Derrick Henry, who rushed for 58 yards on nine carries with two touchdowns last week. Mariota has been solid much of the season, throwing for 3,327 yards with 25 touchdowns and just nine interceptions, but he's failed to throw a scoring pass in two straight games. Defensively, the Titans are battling some serious injuries as cornerback Jason McCourty suffered a chest contusion last week, safety Da'Norris Searcy sustained a concussion and defensive end Karl Klug was lost for the season with a torn Achilles tendon.

ABOUT THE JAGUARS (2-12): Marrone felt it necessary to announce that Blake Bortles, who was 12-for-28 for 92 yards with an interception last week, will continue as the team's starting quarterback but, like Bradley, his days at Jacksonville may be numbered. Bortles is second in the league with 16 interceptions and his poor play is one of the reasons the Jaguars are down from 14th to 27th in points per game from last season to this year. The Jaguars also rank 24th in the NFL in rushing, led by T.J. Yeldon with 460 yards and one score and Chris Ivory 394 rushing yards and two touchdowns.

EXTRA POINTS

1. If the Titans win out, they'll host a playoff game.

2. Jaguars WR Allen Robinson is mired in a season-long slump and has caught just 59 of his 127 targets on the season and hasn't scored in four weeks.

3. Marrone was 15-17 in his two seasons as head coach at Buffalo.
