Happy Easter everyone! Don’t spend too much time on your phone or computer today, check our picks here and set your lineup.

After another busy NHL Saturday night, we’re down to a more manageable four game slate as we run down the final week of the regular season. Three of the four games have some serious high scoring potential, and the other game could have some sneaky underowned GPP plays.

Top Teams to Target Tonight for Daily Fantasy Hockey

1. Ottawa Senators – Both teams played last night, as Ottawa chased down Alex Ovechkin all night and Toronto played against their hated rivals in Boston. The Leafs will give the starters crease back to Jonathan Bernier, who has been in a major slump lately. Over his last ten games, Bernier owns a .828 save percentage and has been pulled multiple times. The Senators first line has been quiet while their second line has been popping, but both lines could give Toronto fits. At least one of those two lines will have a great matchup against the poor shot suppression Leaf defenders (probably the first line). Dion Phaneuf has done a good job against opposing top lines, but his Corsi-For rate is still poor, which means that neither top line needs to be faded.

2. Chicago Blackhawks – How good of a game Chicago is capable of having depends on if St. Louis turns back to Brian Elliott, but I’d imagine Jake Allen gets the start, so that’s what I’m basing this ranking on. This game has the potential to be a high scoring game, and St. Louis has the power to turn this in to and end-to-end game due to having respectable possession numbers. Therefore, Chicago will want to keep the puck out of St. Louis’s reach, and Jonathan Toews has the ability to lead this style of attack. The secondary scoring is starting to wake up for Chicago, which gives them some value outside of the top line.

OTHER TEAMS AND LINES TO STACK FOR GPP tournament lineups:

St. Louis’s power play and second line, Washington’s power play, Toronto’s power play and first line, Florida’s top two lines, Montreal’s top line, Detroit’s top two lines

Recommended Players for FanDuel

Here is a list of recommended players to use tonight in your hockey lineups on FanDuel.

Please note that several factors are considered for these recommendations, including FanDuel salary, expected number of goals for the team and their opponent, and the player’s situation (i.e. minutes played, linemates, power play time, recent performance, split stats, etc…).

TOP GOALTENDER PLAYS

[NOTE: Remember to double-check the Starting Goaltenders for the night to ensure the netminder you’re targeting is playing]

1. Carey Price ($9,900) – Price is definitely a bit risky to start right now due to his lackluster play and salary, but he offers the best shot at a win and putting up a strong performance on a short slate. Florida’s offense has been clicking lately, but Montreal is going to need to right the ship before the playoffs start. I think they play better in front of Price today, which should mean Price won’t have too much pressure on him and can steal the game if need be. Again, playing on the road and the most expensive goalie on the schedule carries risk, but

2. Petr Mrazek ($8,100) – At just $8,100, Mrazek is the cheapest starting goalie of the night, and as we’ve seen recently, he has the ability to steal games (versus Ottawa, Tampa Bay). He also can get lit up if his defense in front of him isn’t playing well, so therein lies the risk. The Capitals were defeated by Ottawa last night, scoring three goals in the game, and if Detroit can trap Ovechkin then Detroit could steal a win. The Wings played well in Minnesota last night, so if they can carry through in this one Mrazek could be a solid value play on a short slate.

Other Recommended Goaltenders – Corey Crawford, Dan Ellis, Jonathan Bernier

TOP DEFENSEMEN PLAYS

1. Erik Karlsson ($6,900) – Karlsson should see little to no resistance against Toronto. The Maple Leafs just gave up an Easter basket full of shots to Boston, so a hot Ottawa team should be able to move at will. Over his last five games, Karlsson has 18 shots, a very strong number for a defenseman. A high number of shots plus a green light to play forward and a weak opposing goalie should make Karlsson a guarantee for points.

2. Jake Gardiner ($3,200) – It might seem strange picking a defenseman from Toronto, but Gardiner has been very strong for the Leafs. Over the last month plus, Gardiner has been the only Leaf defender to register a positive Corsi-For. While his minutes haven’t always been the toughest, he has been doing very well since getting the green light to move up. Against the Bruins last night, Gardiner played 25 minutes, had an assist and registered a plus one. Gardiner makes for an excellent value play with big upside on a quiet night.

Other Recommended Defensemen – Duncan Keith, Mike Green, Morgan Rielly, Cody Ceci, Dan DeKeyser, Jay Bouwmeester

TOP LEFT WINGER PLAYS

1. Max Pacioretty ($8,400) – Steven Stamkos finally broke out of a funk against Florida last night, and Pacorietty comes in to the game in better form than Stamkos was. The Panthers are now officially out of the playoffs while Montreal is fighting for top seeding, so Florida could let down here. Max has 18 shots over his last 5 games, so against a weary Luongo or backup Dan Ellis, Pacioretty and his line should be busy.

2. Clarke MacArthur ($4,500) – Since coming back from injury five games ago, MacArthur has five points and hasn’t missed a beat on Ottawa’s second line. This is the same second line that has been flying lately, and now they square up against a Leafs team that just gave up over 40 shots to Boston last night. The Leafs don’t have anyone that can slow this line down, so MacArthur should continue to produce.

Other Recommended Left Wingers – Alex Ovechkin, Patrick Sharp, Tomas Tatar, James Van Riemsdyk, Mike Hoffman, Kris Versteeg, Teemu Pulkkinen

TOP CENTER PLAYS

1. Jonathan Toews ($8,000) – It seemed like Toews would waste a prime matchup against Buffalo several nights ago, then he scored two goals in 47 seconds. The Blues are a strong puck possession team overall, but they lack anyone of Toews’ caliber that can slow him down. Seeing as how Tyler Seguin and his line moved at will against the Blues defenders two nights ago, the top line of the Hawks should have the same opportunity for multiple points.

2. Stephen Weiss ($3,600) – Weiss doesn’t have the same aura he did before he left Florida as a free agent, but he seems to be healthy now and has been playing solid hockey. The third line of Detroit has been quietly solid this year, and now that Datsyuk is back they can continue to avoid the only real tough defensive pairing Washington can play. The Capitals offense has been hot lately, but they’ve been letting in quite a few goals as well, and as Weiss has four points in his last five games, he could come through again.

Other Recommended Centers – Kyle Turris, Tomas Plekanec, Nazem Kadri, Paul Stastny, Andrew Shaw, Tyler Bozak

TOP RIGHT WINGER PLAYS

1. Brandon Saad ($5,800) – Playing alongside Jonathan Toews, Saad started quiet but has come along recently with five points in his last five games. Saad is a streaky player, so when he is just starting or seemingly in the middle of a hot streak it’s wise to take advantage. His line should see a lot of time in the Blues’ zone, and that means he should have a high probability of putting up a few points.

1. Patrik Berglund ($4,500) – The Blues have been without two of their top six forwards lately (Steen and Tarasenko), so they have needed players like Berglund to step up. Over his last two games, Berglund has four points and eight shots playing alongside captain David Backes. I think Toews and the top line should go after the Blues’ second line, which might give the top line a bit more room to move. This game has shootout potential, and if that happens I’d expect Berglund to a key player in the boxscore.

Other Recommended Right Wingers – Phil Kessel, Marian Hossa, T.J. Oshie, Justin Abdelkader, Curtis Glencross, Mark Stone, Marcus Johansson

FanDuel Lineups
