There are only three games to choose from tonight, so it will take a bit of additional digging to put together a lower owned GPP lineup. Despite the short slate of games, the matchups all look pretty good and offer some different options.
Defense is the position to save cash on tonight, as there are some big name forwards you’ll probably want to pay up for and the goalies are all moderately priced.
1. Columbus Blue Jackets – With 11 goals over their last three games, the Blue Jackets offense has been firing on all cylinders lately. Their Corsi-For over the last month has not been great at just 47.3%, but not surprisingly that is better than Toronto’s rate over the same time of 45.9%. What’s driving Columbus’s recent success has been their sky-high PDO of 104.3. With two evenly matched teams in terms of puck possession and lack of shot suppression, we could see a sloppy game, which would benefit the Blue Jackets. Keep in mind that the Maple Leafs have given up a mind blowing 167 shots over the last four games (an average of ~42).
