Daily FanDuel Fantasy Hockey Picks: October 15, 2015

After a shallow night of games, we are back with a solid eight game slate. There are three teams with very good matchups, plus another few that make for perfect GPP targets as they should be underowned. Thankfully, there won’t be any players that are 60% owned like last night.

Two teams are playing the second night of a back-to-back, so they could be starting their backups. Ottawa looks set to have Andrew Hammond make his season debut, and despite his difficult matchup, there could be folks chasing last year’s ridiculous stretch run – don’t be one of those people. We'll take a look at all of the matchups, and build some cash and tournament lineups that utilize our top teams and values tonight.

Top Teams to Target Tonight for Daily Fantasy Hockey

1. Tampa Bay Lightning – The Lightning blew out the Bruins in Boston on Monday, and then played a quieter game in Detroit Tuesday. Last season, the Lightning were much more powerful at home, so a return to Tampa could keep their offense going. Dallas is allowing an average of 31 shots on net per game, and Tampa Bay has plenty of shooters that can take advantage of the generous defense. The top line of Jonathan Drouin, Steven Stamkos, and Ryan Callahan will probably be lower owned than the Triplets (Ondrej Palat, Nikita Kucherov, Tyler Johnson), but both lines have good potential. Defensemen Victor Hedman is expensive and could be stuck in his own zone for most of the night, but Hedman, Anton Stralman, Jason Garrison or Nikita Nesterov can be paired with forwards for an all-out stack.
