Evan Bouchard's OT goal pushes Oilers past Blackhawks

Evan Bouchard scored at 2:43 of overtime to lift the Edmonton Oilers to a 3-2 win against the visiting Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday night.

Spencer Knight made a save on a one-timer by Bouchard, but he scored the rebound to give Edmonton the win.

Bouchard and Leon Draisaitl each had a goal and an assist, Jack Roslovic also scored, Connor McDavid had three assists, and Stuart Skinner made 27 saves for the Oilers, who have won two of three (2-0-1).

Andre Burakovski had a goal and an assist, Tyler Bertuzzi scored and Knight made 27 saves for the Blackhawks, who have lost three of four (1-2-1).

Draisaitl appeared to score through the pads of Knight on a power play late in the first period, but it was determined after a video review that the puck crossed the goal line after the period had expired.

After the scoreless first period, Draisaitl then scored on a one-timer from the right circle off a feed from Ryan Nugent-Hopkins to give the Oilers a 1-0 lead at 54 seconds of the second.

The Blackhawks were on a power play when they tied it 1-1 at 8:32 of the second.

Connor Bedard controlled the puck along the wall before skating into the right circle and centering a pass that Bertuzzi redirected into the net for his third goal of the season.

The Oilers scored on the power play to move back ahead 2-1 at 17:17 of the second period.

Roslovic received a pass above the right circle from McDavid and took a couple strides toward the dot before scoring with a wrist shot.

Chicago tied it 2-2 at 3:19 of the third when Ryan Greene made a pass from behind the net to Artyom Levshunov and his shot was saved by Skinner, but Burakovsky scored the rebound.
