Shin-Soo Choo hit a two-run homer and three-run double as the Cleveland Indians rallied for a 6-3 victory over the Seattle Mariners on Thursday night.
Choo’s two-bagger in the sixth cleared the bases and his 17th homer in the ninth gave him a season-high five RBIs.
Choo's double followed singles by Luis Valbuena, Michael Brantley and Asdrubal Cabrera, tying the score 3-3. Travis Hafner then a flare to shallow right for the go-ahead run. A single by Jayson Nix chased Doug Fister (4-11), who gave up the four runs on seven hits in 5 1/3 innings with four strikeouts to take the loss.
Josh Tomlin (3-3) allowed three runs on seven hits in six innings with five strikeouts and no walks. Chris Perez pitched a perfect ninth for his 17th save.
All of Seattle's runs came in the third. Ichiro Suzuki doubled and advanced on Chone Figgins' single. Franklin Gutierrez scored Suzuki with a sacrifice fly and Russell Branyan hit a two run-homer - his 21st.
