Carlos Lee hit a three-run homer in the top of the seventh inning and Wandy Rodriguez struck out a career-best 13 hitters to lead Houston to a 7-4 comeback victory over Pittsburgh on Monday night.
Rodriguez (10-9) worked seven innings for the win, scattering four hits and four walks. He struck out the side in the second and fourth innings.
Facing a 3-2 deficit entering the seventh, the Astros tied it when J.D. Martinez grounded into a fielder's choice with runners on second and third against Jason Grilli (1-1).
Lee then delivered the decisive blow when he drove a 0-1 pitch from Jose Veras into the left-field seats. He extended his hitting streak to 10 games.
The Pirates added a run in the ninth inning when Ronny CedeƱo hit a two-out RBI triple against Juan Abreu.
Pittsburgh had jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the top of the fourth inning on a two-run homer by Andrew McCutchen and an RBI double by Ryan Doumit.
Pirates starter Ross Ohlendorf worked five innings, yielding two runs on five hits while striking out five.
