Dodgers 6, Pirates 1

Juan Rivera and James Loney homered, and Ted Lilly allowed one run over seven innings as the Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the visiting Pittsburgh Pirates 6-1 on Saturday.

Lilly (10-14) gave up four hits while striking out seven, and he joined Mark Buehrle and CC Sabathia as the only left-handed pitchers with 10 or more wins in each of the last nine seasons.

Loney gave the Dodgers a first-inning lead with a three-run blast off James McDonald (9-9), who gave up five runs over three innings in his first start against his former team.

Matt Kemp, who went 2-for-4 for his 52nd multi-hit game, became the 25th Dodger to steal 40 bases in a season.

The Pirates loaded the bases in the top of the eighth against Nathan Eovaldi, but Kenley Jansen came in and struck out Ryan Ludwick and Garrett Jones to end the threat.

Josh Harrison had a run-scoring double in the second inning for the Pirates, who have lost five out of seven games against the Dodgers this season.
