Giants 5, Athletics 4 (11)
Emmanuel Burriss hit a walk-off single with one out in the bottom of the 11th inning as the San Francisco Giants extended their winning streak to five games Sunday with a 5-4 triumph over the Oakland Athletics.
Nate Schierholtz belted a game-tying, two-run homer in the eighth for the Giants, who swept the three-game interleague series and improved to 11-0 in one-run games at home this season.
Pinch hitter Darren Ford singled off Brian Fuentes (1-6) with one out and stole second. After Buster Posey was walked intentionally, Burriss lined Fuentes' first pitch into right field for the winning hit.
Sergio Romo (2-0) picked up the win after striking out three in two scoreless innings.
Oakland began its comeback from a 2-0 deficit on Josh Willingham's solo homer in the sixth. Coco Crisp hit an RBI double in the seventh and scored on a single by Daric Barton before Hideki Matsui lifted a sacrifice fly an inning later for a 4-2 lead.
The Giants got even quickly in the bottom of the eighth as Miguel Tejada led off with a single off Grant Balfour and pinch hitter Schierholtz belted his fourth home run of the year two batters later.
Cliff Pennington went 3-for-5 with a run scored for Oakland, which has lost five games in a row overall and four straight on the road.
