Colby Lewis allowed four hits in 8 2/3 innings and the Texas Rangers won their ninth consecutive game by defeating the host Seattle Mariners 4-0 on Friday.
Lewis (9-7) struck out eight and Neftali Feliz got the final out for his 19th save as Texas handed Seattle its seventh straight defeat.
It was the second straight game in which Texas blanked Seattle, which has gone 26 consecutive innings without scoring.
One night after hitting three homers in a 5-0 victory, the Rangers scored three of their four runs on sacrifice flies.

The Rangers made it 2-0 in the second when Nelson Cruz singled, moved to third on a double by Yorvit Torrealba and scored on a sacrifice fly by Endy Chavez.
Texas tallied twice in the eighth on Adrian Beltre’s sacrifice fly and Michael Young’s run-scoring single.
The Mariners got two of their four hits in the ninth before Feliz retired Jack Cust on a game-ending grounder.
