White Sox 7, Mariners 3

White Sox 7, Mariners 3: Adam Dunn hit two homers and drove in five runs, and Chicago left-hander Chris Sale racked up a career-high 11 strikeouts to help visiting Chicago continue its dominance of Seattle.

The White Sox have won eight of nine against the Mariners, including six straight at Safeco Field. They are 17-3 against Seattle since the start of the 2010 season.

Chicago took control early, staking Sale to a 6-0 lead and chasing Seattle starter Hector Noesi (1-2) with one out in the second. Dunn did most of the damage with an RBI double in the first and a three-run homer in the second. Dunn added a solo shot in the eighth off Hisashi Iwakuma.

Making only his third major-league start, Sale (2-1) kept the Mariners guessing with a steady diet of two-seam fastballs and sliders. He allowed three runs on seven hits over 6 1/3 innings.

Jesus Montero hit his second home run, and Ichiro Suzuki drove in two runs for Seattle.

GAME NOTEBOOK: It was Dunn's first three-hit game since May 11, 2011, and his first multi-homer game since Sept. 24, 2010. … Chicago's Paul Konerko and A.J. Pierzynski were both held hitless, the first time this season that neither had a hit. Konerko had hit safely in 11 of 12 games.
