Quintana (1-0) limited the Blue Jays to five hits while striking out seven and walking a pair. Alex Rios added a solo home run and Alexei Ramirez had a pair of hits, an RBI and a run scored for the White Sox, who improved to 3-6 on their marathon 10-game road trip.

Chicago teed off on Toronto starter J.A. Happ (2-1), who surrendered five runs on six hits over 5 2/3 innings. Munenori Kawasaki led the way for the Blue Jays with a pair of hits and a walk while Rajai Davis and Edwin Encarnacion added two hits apiece.

The White Sox staged a two-out rally to open the scoring in the second. Dayan Viciedo ripped a double to right field, Ramirez drew a walk and Flowers sent a 2-1 pitch over the center-field wall in his first career at-bat against Happ.

After Ramirez's RBI double padded the lead in the fourth, Rios made it a 5-0 game with a sixth-inning leadoff homer, his seventh in 25 games against his former team. Chicago added a pair of runs in the seventh on sacrifice flies from Jeff Keppinger and Konerko.
