Dodgers 4, Marlins 1
Zack Greinke tossed eight strong innings to lift Los Angeles to another road win in the third of four straight games at Miami.
Hanley Ramirez had an RBI double and Andre Ethier recorded a run-scoring single as the Dodgers took advantage of some shoddy Marlins defense en route to their 21st win in their last 24 road games. Los Angeles increased its lead to 8 1/2 games over Arizona in the National League West.
Greinke (12-3) let up a run and six hits to win his fourth straight start and improve to 3-0 lifetime versus the Marlins. He struck out seven and did not walk a batter in outdueling Nathan Eovaldi (2-4), who gave up three runs (two earned) in seven frames. Kenley Jansen worked the ninth for his 21st save.
Giancarlo Stanton slugged a solo homer to left in the first inning to put Miami on top. However, the Marlins managed just five hits thereafter and committed three errors, two during the Dodgers' three-run fourth.
Yasiel Puig reached on a throwing error by third baseman Ed Lucas to begin the rally. After a walk to Adrian Gonzalez, Ramirez and Ethier each drove in a run and Ramirez came in later on Eovaldi's errant pickoff throw.
