Derek Norris and Adam Rosales each homered and Jarrod Parker tossed seven strong innings as Oakland earned its fifth straight win.

Parker (3-6) gave up two runs on five hits in his third straight quality start for the Athletics, who have won 10 of their last 11 games to move 2 1/2 games back of first-place Texas in the American League West.

Norris launched a two-run blast in the second off Mike Kickham (0-1), who was making his major-league debut in place of the injured Ryan Vogelsong. The left-hander was pulled after giving up four runs with four walks over 2 1/3 innings.

Kickham’s night ended in the third when Jed Lowrie drew a bases-loaded walk and Nate Freiman followed with an RBI single. The Athletics added a run in the fifth when Chad Gaudin walked Seth Smith with the bases loaded.

Hunter Pence homered and had two RBIs and Buster Posey drove in a run for San Francisco, which has lost its last five road games. Pablo Sandoval went hitless in three at-bats and is 2-for-21 in his last six games.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Rosales snapped an 0-for-24 slump with a solo homer in the eighth off Jose Mijares. … Athletics 3B Josh Donaldson is batting .377 with 15 doubles, six homers and 25 RBIs over his past 34 games. … The teams head to San Francisco for games at AT&T Park on Wednesday and Thursday.
